RED: Beau Fowler Is Ready To Spill Plenty In The Grisly First Teaser For The New Action Short

Even during a crippling pandemic, actor and producer Beau Fowler (Avengement, Blood, Sweat & Terrors: Express Delivery) is already on hand for the festival scene this year as he continues to push his latest short, Red, which now comes with a first teaser just above.

Fowler reunites with stunt professional-turned-filmmaker David Newton (The Take Down) for the project which recently earned a nomination for Best Stunts at the fifth Birmingham Film Festival, and is also a current finalist for Best Picture at New York Film Festival.

Billed as a proof-of-concept action short for a hopeful feature thriller, Red hails from Ki Films and centers on Fowler in the role of “an ex-soldier who awakes in a bath of ice, and missing a kidney. Piecing together the desperate choices he made to locate his daughter an organ match, he must now fight for survival within the red market harvesting den he’s trapped inside, in order to find and save his daughter.”

Rounding out the cast are Ian Reddington, Jennifer Lim, Evie Templeton, Andrew Leung, Cheryl Burniston, Andrew St Clair James, Sonny Louis, Millie Power, Leon Sua and Dom Dumaresq.

Red is currently poised to showcase for this year’s Fighting Spirit Film Festival; On Wednesday, in response to the latest lockdown in the U.K. the festival rescheduled its single-day events originally slated for November 7, stamping a new official date on December 12 at Premiere Cinemas in Romford, again, with Covid-19 safety protocols in place.

Peep the teaser above and first teaser artwork below, and feel free to catch up on my interview with Fowler in which he discusses the project, his career, and more.
