Rossatron Talks The BLADE Trilogy And Why It Deserves To Continue

BLADE

August saw some stirring news with mention of a pair of Blade projects being cooked up at Marvel. Your guess is as good as mine as to where those projects end up but I will cosign at least one point here that essayist Rossatron makes in his dissemination about the future of the Blade franchise.

After all said and done, there is still much to build on with the franchise since it took off in trailblazing form in 1998. For this, Wesley Snipes very much deserves another shot at the role, and essentially to help bring these films back on their feet after the atrocity that was David S. Goyer’s directorial vomitshake of franchise doom and gloom that was Blade: Trinity – I take issue with anyone that has a positive opinion about that film. It truly is garbage and I’ve said it for years. I wanted so badly to forgive the film but I simply couldn’t. I threw away the DVD and that was it, and I have no regrets.

At any rate with Blade and Blade 2 having entered the Netflix fray, Rossatron’s latest video brings focus to the franchise with highlights from the trilogy and the long and preferably-forgotten TV show. Take a look above, enjoy the nostalgia and share your thoughts in the comment section about your hopes for the Blade franchise should more entries come!
