Celebrated director and actor SABU made festival waves late last year in Tokyo premiering his latest, Jam. World sales reps at Freestone have been busy at EFM in Berlin where the film now looks toward garnering releases overseas since opening locally in December.
HiGH&LOW franchise actors Aoyagi Sho (Tatara Samurai), Machida Keita (Over Drive) and Suzuki Nobuyuki (Strayer’s Chronicle) lead the cast for an action drama wrapped in arthouse flair about the intersecting lives of three men: a has-been pop idol hoping to resurrecting his career, a good samaritan hoping his actions will cure his dying girlfriend, and a yakuza on the run after killing another gangster who had him sent to prison.
