Two agency assassins cross blades in an empty bar when they find they’re on the same gig.
Director Walker Whited’s new short, Sakazuki is the name of what I just came across, having released last month after circulating festivals and ultimately winning the Shorts Jury Award at the Rome International Film Festival last year. The project was shot entirely in Georgia, starring Dmani Q. Williams, Daniel Kwanghwee Choi, Brittany Lee McDonald, and notable TV and film actor Woon Young Park, from a script by Williams, and with stunt and action design Samantha McDonald and Jessica Nam.
Interestingly, the description in the player below attributes a Special Thanks credit to Takashi Doscher, the director of late recently hired to helm 87Eleven Entertainment action production Karoshi. I don’t know the full story there but I reckon one day it’ll be less of a mystery. It’s a cool way to bolster an inspired indie project though.
Enjoy Sakazuki in the player below!
