SCHOOL-LIVE!: Idols Stare Down The Zombie Apocalypse In The Official Trailer

Prolific horror suspense and fantasy thriller scribe, director Shibata Issei, is taking a step into the grim once more with School-Live!, an adaptation of a seinen manga which also has a 2015 anime series up and running at Crunchyroll for all you curious otakus out there like myself.

The plot? Well, it’s a bit of a mindjob as it centers on a small club of young girls who live at their school. Soon enough, they’re cornered and forced to fend off a sudden wave of zombies overcoming the city – including friends and teachers who’ve turned – all while protecting its latest member, Yuki, a delusional girl who thinks everyone is still alive.

The cast is comprised of Last Idol pop group members with LaLuce’s Nagatsuki Midori starring as Yuki. Rounding out the principal cast are Abe Nanami, also of LaLuce, Someday Somewhere members Majima Wakana and Kiyohara Rio, and actress Ono Nonoka who plays the club’s founder, Megumi.

School-Live! is getting a January 25 release in Japan. The latest trailer is above while the first teaser from late last year can be seen below in addition to the newest poster.
