Actor Kim Min-suk has already begun his stride from a promising TV drama career to debuting in theaters for Lee An-gyu’s crime drama, A Special Lady. His latest role now lands him in one of his toughest yet judging by trailer footage making the rounds for Justice High helmer Chae Yeo-jun’s latest, Shark: The Beginning.
The film is based the work of webcomic creators Kim Woo-seob and Woon, and centers on Min-suk in the role of Cha Woo-Sol, a teenage juvenile prisoner who enlists the training of an ex-MMA champion-turned-convict in order to defend himself against the facility’s latest inmate: the same bully whose actions landed him behind bars.
Shark: The Beginning also stars Jung Won-chang (0.0MHz) and and Wi Ha-joon (Miss and Mrs. Cops) and launches on Korean streaming/VoD service, TVING, beginning June 17.
