Director Simon West has been more than busy over in China, co-helming on one title and solo directing another – the latter, Skyfire, hailing from Meridian Entertainment and Base Media. The five year endeavor which wrapped late last year was written by Sidney King and stars Hannah Quinlivan (Skyscraper) as a young geologist who finds herself in a race against time to save her family from a volcanic island in the South China Sea on the brink of deadly eruption.
The previous teaser poster was well-suited for the hype and the new one now online finally lends a look at the cast featuring actors Wang Xueqi (Bodyguards And Assassins, Helios), Shawn Dou (Urban Games, To The Fore) and Jason Isaacs (The OA, Star Trek: Discovery) among the cast. The poster also reveals a 2019 date so we shouldn’t be too far off with a proper rollout going forward.
