If you’re keen on Prime Video consumption and happen to haven’t seen Kenji Tanigaki’s The Furious in theaters or snagged a copy on 4K UHD + Blu-Ray, or even a digital purchase, then you’re in luck. The film that made a huge splash in Toronto last year and festivals the world over is now also available to stream on the aforementioned platform.
Produced by Edko Films Ltd. and XYZ Films, the international action thriller stars a power-packed ensemble cast with Xie Miao, Joe Taslim, Yang Enyou, Joey Iwanaga, Yayan Ruhian, and Brian Le. Bolstered by action direction from Baby Assassins steward Kensuke Sonomura, the film follows a mute as he treks the Southeast Asian criminal underbelly with the help of a journalist to find his missing daughter and bring down a huge child trafficking ring.
Rounding out the cast are Jeeja Yanin, Sahajak Boonthanakit, Manatsanun Phanlerdwongsakul, and Winai Wiangyangkung.
This film is one of the biggest I’ve had the privilege of covering, and to see it on a big screen only enhanced the experience for me. With a proposed sequel in the works, I hope to be around for that one too.
