THE BROTHERS SUN Official Trailer Arrives For New Netflix Series Launching In January

I’ve got some viewing lined-up for the new year, but I’ll definitely need something to tie me down until a fourth season of Warrior is ordered. Thankfully Netflix will be on hand with eight-part episodic crime drama, The Brothers Sun, now back with a new trailer ahead of its January 4 premiere following a teaser revealed last month during Geeked Week.

The Brothers Sun is an action-packed, dark comedic drama, and family soap. The eight-episode series is set in Los Angeles and Taiwan. It is uniquely distinct, featuring an all-Asian writers room and all-Asian cast. It follows Taipei gangster, Charles Sun, who’s settled into his life as a ruthless killer. But when his father is shot by a mysterious assassin, Charles must go to L.A. to protect his mother and utterly-unaware younger brother Bruce.

Such is the case for the character played by Sam Song Li who is joined by Justin Chien as Bruce’s seasoned gangster brother, Charles, and award-winning actress Michelle Yeoh in her latest Netflix stint following Karen Gillan starrer Gunpowder Milkshake.

Rounding out the cast are Alice Hewkin, Jon XueZhang, Jenny Yang, Madison Hu and Rodney To, with showrunner Brad Falchuk and Byron Wu as co-creators, and as exec producers Mikkel Bondesen and series director Kevin Tancharoen.
