The past year or so has seen quite the attention drawn toward director Rene Perez. His latest, Death Kiss, earned favor at festivals with actor Robert Kovacs starring and now prefaces his latest effort, The Dragon Unleashed (formerly titled Bring The Pain) with producer Kasey Dollar.
There’s no plot or logline as of yet, though the first official trailer has arrived marking the newest outing from Perez in partnership with Redding-based Kasey Dollar of Top Dollar Films. It’s loaded with action and masked vigilante thrills and red-band indie pulp and sweetened with stylish-looking fight scenery that’ll surely appeal to the R-rated crowd.
Actor Chase Bloomquist leads the film along with John Schneider, Emily Sweet and KO Kung Fu’s own Master John Ozuna. The PR campaign is already underway and as he did with Death Kiss, festivals may be the next stop for this one as well. Hopefully we’ll get some screeners going for early reviews, so check back and stay tuned!
