Gachi Boshi director Eguchi Kan is going into 2019 with summer-bound manga adaptation, The Fable. Enter actor Library Wars trilogy and Samurai’s Promise star Okada Junichi donning the title role as a killer birthed into his craft from childhood and is now assigned to lay low in Osaka under a new alias.
Watanabe Yusuke (Attack On Titan 1 and 2, GANTZ, Joker Game) penned the script based on Minami Katsuhisa’s award-winning 2014 manga. Also starring are Kimura Fumino, Sato Koichi, Yamamoto Mizuki, Yasuda Ken, Yagira Yuya, Mukai Osamu and Bleach star Fukushi Sota for the film’s June 21 release from Shochiku.
