Well Go USA tripled up on Thursday with two of their announcements for Korean releases this Fall – the first of which is Kim Sung-Hoon’s Rampant. The second, The Great Battle, is also on deck as expected and with a September 21 release in its wake – just two days after its South Korean rollout.
With epic scale and breathtaking action, THE GREAT BATTLE tells the story of the Siege of Ansi, where Goguryeo forces held their fortress against 500,000 invading Tang soldiers in a battle that raged for eighty-eight days.
Headlining the cast are The King star Jo In-Sung and The Swindlers co-star Park Sung-Wong, with award-winning TV actor Nam Joo-Hyuk making his feature film debut.
