I had the explicit delight of reviewing a film this weekend called Gold Coast Lounge which opens locally in Ghana in January. That’s really all there was to my weekend except the usual offering of life’s headaches.

I also got to put together this week’s installment of the Hit List and it’s the first of the final three for 2019, so I hope everyone out there will make it rain going into the holidays! Chelsea Goldsmith kicks off the usual raft of stunt and action reels followed by Alexis Meyenberg, Entony Ruscetta, Coledyn Garrow, Gelsey Laurie, Jeff Budner, Jason O’Halloran, Jorge Pereyra, Melissa Lara, Antoine Piquet, Tyler Tackett, Paxton Pregel, Fran Williams, Justin Fillings, Dizzle Korey, Kai Ferris, Bethany Curry, Simeon Freeman and Vic Plajas. The reel concludes with entries for stunt rigger Brett Copes, and fight coordinators Malay Kim and Dan Rizzuto.

Trailers for Godefroy Ryckewaert’s The Collector, and Bryan Sloyer’s Heart System comprise this week’s trailer playlist; The last video within is an official promo teaser for Steam, director Pau Han Kho’s multi award-winning steampunk kung fu action shortfilm which debuts on YouTube soon, as well as on AVOD service, Dark Matter TV.

The fights and films section kicks off with a trio of videos from Gareth Hadfield‘s YouTube Channel, followed by some side-by-side Never Back Down 3 previz action from Vlad Rimburg, Kung Fu Alley by Airon Armstrong, and a centerpiece parking lot fight with Hector Soria for Art School Dropouts.

Andrew Kim makes a break for it opposite Jose Manuel and others in The Bag Escapade from Kamen Ramen while Ermias Baraki returns a la Frappe Mortelle Prods. with Vivificus featuring Emely Cartegena, Wadi Jones and the Goon Squad return with Koji Nishiyama and Tom Caserto in Handsome Ransom, Martial Club brings the martial pain in the explosive Shinobi, Jay Kwon throws down in his showdown with DY Sao in the latest Fight Or Flight shortfilm entry, Old Challenger, and Chris Picot and co. brings the parking lot brawl thrills in BadLuck.

Making his own award-winning return to the Hit List is Branden Arnold, in the company of Brigette Bentley and Troy Butler in The Mission, and Gabriella Corvina packs it in this week now with fight scene re-edit/revisals, I’m The Bad Guy and Supply Run, and action comedy short, Psycho Actress. Bookending the Hit List is the latest sword-and-shield epic from Olomouc-based Adorea Swordfighters titled The Knight Of Hope, directed by Lukas Kratochvil and Martin Turecek.

Enjoy the hits!
