Director Hugo Keijzer’s new survival thriller, The Occupant, will set sail on Tuesday for its premiere at the freshman launch of SXSW London. Ella Balinska stars opposite legendary voice actor Rob Delaney, along with Vanessa Ifediora, and Stuart Graham.
When Abby, a guilt-ridden engineering geologist in transit from her remote assignment survives a mysterious helicopter crash, she must try to escape the harsh environment. But she is not alone.
The Occupant is currently awaiting release dates in select territories, including Decal for North America, and Signature Entertainment for the UK.
The film was produced by Raymond van der Kaaij for Revolver Amsterdam, Kwesi Dickson, Jay Taylor and Isabel Freer for Electric Shadow Company and co-produced by 20 Steps International. Production was backed by Netherlands Film Fund, the BFI Global Screen Fund, Northern Ireland Screen, and ESC Studios, with financing led by Orogen Entertainment. Blair Ward, Anders Erdén and Lauren Case serve as exec producers.
