Inspired by a true story in Hong Kong. A young man wrongfully charged with drug trafficking, pleads guilty under undue influence from his defense lawyer, letting the actual convict escaped from penalty. Fok (Donnie Yen), an unconventional prosecutor assigned to the case, firmly believes that the case is full of doubts and decides to conduct a private investigation for the young man. Fok risks his life and career to uncover the truth and bring the real culprit to justice.
Alas, we now have the first bits of footage included in a brisk fifteen second tease for The Prosecutor, starring Donnie Yen who shares the producer role with fellow Ip Man cohort Raymond Wong, as well as wearing the action director hat with specialist Kenji Tanigaki. The film is set for a 2024 release with a date TBA.
