THE SUN DOES NOT MOVE: Tatsuya Fujiwara Stars In The New Explosive Spy Thriller Opening In March!

Assassination Classroom and Over Drive director Eiichiro Hasumi’s latest, The Sun Does Not Move, had to endure a bit of a wait period due to the pandemic. The film is now slating a March 5 release Japan and with trailers currently streaming online.

Following up on WOWOW’s TV drama adaptation of Shuichi Yoshida’s Kazuhiko Tanako spy novels, Tatsuya Fujiwara (Kaiji and Death Note movies) leads the way as elite spy Kazuhiko Tanako, alongside Ryoma Takeuchi (Love Stoppage Time) in the role of his partner Ryoichi Taoka. Together, the two members of spy organization, AN Tsuushin, find themselves embroiled together with a Korean spy and a mysterious woman, amidst a conspiracy stemming from info on solar tech advancements that could shake the political and economic climate in Japan.

The film also stars Byun Yo-Han (A Day, Mr. Sunshine) and Han Hyo-Joo (Golden Slumber, Illang: The Wolf Brigade).
