What better way is there to get hyped up for a long-awaited sequel to a film that’s been highly praised after four years? Well, there was the teaser two weeks ago to Park Hoon-jung’s The Witch Part Two: The Other One, but we can definitely chalk things up a notch more now with a brand new trailer.
The major difference here though is we now get a full look at newcomer Shin Si-ah who is starring as the lead this time around. We also get to dive just a little deeper into what sets things up for the big recapitulation to come – ripe no less with the kind of spectacular action and horror thrills that made the first film so enjoyable, and we definitely get to see actress Jo Min-soo in her dual portrayal stemming from her role(s) in the first.
Somewhere, a girl wakes up in a huge secret laboratory. The girl accidentally meets Kyung-hee who is trying to protect their house from the gang who harasses her. When the gang bumps into the girl, they are overpowered by an unexpected power of her. In the meantime, the secret laboratory starts to find the missing girl. Who is this mysterious girl and why is she being chased?
The film will also see actress Kim Da-mi reprising her pivotal role from the first film, with a cast that includes Park Eun-bin, Seo Eun-soo, Jin Goo, Sung Yu-been and Lee Jong-suk.
The Witch Part Two: The Other One opens domestically June 15 from NEW.
