TIGER’S TRIGGER Roars Online With First Official Poster

Long anticipated action film Tiger’s Trigger now has a poster to attribute to the latest goings on with celebrated kung fu cinema laureates, actors Casanova Wong (Warriors Two) and Won Jin (Operation Scorpio).

Lee Kang-wook debut directs from his own script, joining the pair with actress Park Ji-hui (Concrete Utopia) who plays a woman caring for mother at a hospital when she stumbles upon a Russian pistol. When shifty cops make their way into the facility to look for it, she is suddenly approached by a taciturn old man (Wong) whose wife also happens to be staying in the same ward.

There isn’t much to be deduced from that description in terms of Wong’s role, which is what brings us to the teaser for the film, which arose upon the film’s World Premiere at the 26th edition of BiFan. Festival programmer Ju Sung-chul divulged the following about the film in his notes:

Tiger’s Trigger can be considered an older version of The Man from Nowhere (2010) starring by Won Bin, or a Korean version of Liam Neeson’s Taken series. It is overwhelming just to be able to see the presence of two actors who were very active in Hong Kong, Casanova Wong who jumps over huge tables to make a flying kick in Warriors Two (1978) and Won Jin, who performs acrobatic action with the unique scorpion pose in Operation Scorpio (1992). It is also touching to see them step back and actively intervene with the girl and the pistol in the story.

Won Jin also coordinated the action in the film. Check out the teaser below and the subsequent poster.
