Gamers who find their home on Playstation consoles are no strangers to Uncharted. The action adventure series produced by Naughty Dog stars Nathan Drake as he travels the globe in search of adventure and lost treasures. Starting with the original game on the Playstation 3 console, the series has met great success and critical accolades. Over 41 million copies of Uncharted games have been sold across Playstation 3, Vita, Playstation 4, mobile and PC platforms, and has also featured comic books, a tabletop game, and a novel. Soon, a film will be added to that list!
The film follows Nathan, played by Tom Holland (Spider-Man – Homecoming, The Avengers: Infinity War), on his first adventure as a treasure hunter. Accompanied by Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg – Planet of the Apes, Transformers: Age of Extinction), the pair go on a globe trotting adventure in search of “the greatest treasure never found.” Along the way, Nathan may even find clues related to his missing brother.
The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Venom), screenplay by Rafe Judkins (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Iron Man, Transformers: The Last Knight). The cast also features Sophia Ali (Truth or Dare) as Drake’s love interest Chloe, Tati Gabrielle (The 100, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Antonio Banderas (Spy Kids, Pain and Glory) as the film’s villain.
