VIKRAM: Kamal Haasan Pops Off In The Official Trailer

YouTube Poster

Talk to anyone in Twitter’s bustling film community and at some point you’re bound to come across pockets of action movie fans fond of gritty stories led by grisled old protagonists who can kick ass. I’m talking the people who are most fond of films like Logan or The Expendables, or the anything-with-Liam-Neeson-punching-people-in-the-face crowd, and so I’m certain they’ll find something just as interesting to come with the arrival of a new trailer for Tamil-language crime thriller, Vikram, from award-winning director Lokesh Kanagaraj (Maanagaram, Master, Kaithi).

If you’ve never seen a film directed by Kanagaraj and you’re curious, our own Matthew Essary weighed in on the director’s 2021 thriller, Master, starring Vijay, and as far as endorsements go, his review is no exception and should give you some ideas on what to expect. With that, we go into Vikram which stars Kamal Haasan, who has upwards of more than 230 screen credits to his name.

There’s no official synopsis but it has been reported that in Vikram, he plays a retired police officer who is visually-impaired, forced to stare down the misdeeds of two brothers on opposite sides of the law in order to rescue the high-ranking government official they’ve kidnapped and trapped in their own fortress-like prison. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil from a script Kanagaraj wrote with Rathna Kumar (Master, Aadai), and is also releasing in Telugu and Malayalam with Prime Media handling its release in the U.S..

Also, look at how lit this fucking poster below is. Just look at it. You with me? You looking? Good. Just checking.
