Tokyo Ghoul and Blue Period helmer Kentaro Hagiwara is back with live-action treatment, Wind Breaker. The film teams Hagiwara with screenwriter Yosuke Masaike for an adaptation of Satoru Nii’s hit manga and subsequent animated series.
The lore itself follows Haruka Sakura, a skilled fighter and new student at the delinquent-ridden Furin High where he meets and befriends the Bofurin, the school’s sole protector of the town. The current two-season anime, directed by Toshifumi Akai and produced by CloverWorks, is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
Casting details for the live-action film remain pending while Warner Bros. Japan just doled out the first teaser and poster art ahead of a December release. Check out both below!
