WONDER WOMAN 1984: Gal Gadot Goes Gold In The First Official Trailer

It’s been a big weekend at 2019 Comic Con Experience in São Paulo for upcoming studio blockbusters. Warner Bros. Pictures is definitely on the roster as well with the June 5, 2020 release of Wonder Woman 1984 and thus, we now have the first official trailer bringing fans face-to-face with actress Gal Gadot returning as the Amazonian superheroine.

Chris Pine returns in a new role, and with Kirsten Wiig and The Mandalorian series star Pedro Pascal, and actresses Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright, and of course, Blue Monday by 80s new wave rock band, New Order. Because nothing says return of the female badass like the song heard in the David Leitch-directed Atomic Blonde?

K, cool.

Indeed, director Patty Jenkins knows her audience, the same one that helped her 2017 predecessor featuring Gadot become the highest-grossing superhero origin film that year at the box office. Of course, the studio still has its own plans with DC properties and with Henry Cavill dancing around the idea of putting on the Kryptonian symbol for hope once again, time will tell if the studio finds its footing again with another Justice League and if Gadot’s Themysciran warrioress has a place in it.

For now, watch as Gadot spreads her wings in the Golden Eagle armor and enjoy the trailer above for Wonder Woman 1984, and the character promo images below!
