WUSHU ORPHAN: Kung Fu Gains And Growing Pains In The Official Trailer

Looking at the most recent trailer for Huang Huang’s martial arts youth drama, Wushu Orphan, certainly amps up the Painted Faces feels a bit. There’s plenty of core introspective and gritty drama next to some impressive physical performances to highlight the bustling setting of an isolated school where one student consistently tries to escape due to bullying.

Such is the crux of our story from the aforementioned writer and director whose newest outing will make its case next Friday and Sunday for the Asian Future line-up at the 31st Tokyo International Film Festival. Tickets are still up for grabs for hopeful attendees curious about the new youth drama which now bares a pending Asia release from Autumn Sun, as well as artwork to boot.
