YES, AUNTIE!: Joey Min’s Feature Debut Pays Tribute To The Old School In The Official Poster

This Friday, folks are being invited to attend the official grand premiere of director Joey Min’s feature debut, Yes, Auntie!, as part of the Fist And Sword series at the Museum Of The Moving Image in New York City. The film is a cinema-woven edit of what’s slated to be a second season of their hit webseries, My Asian Auntie, which rose to fan acclaim and demand for more per the request of fans ardently following Min’s creative journey through his YouTube portal, Art School Dropouts.

I’ve spent a great deal of time and typing to help promote this project along with interviews with both Min, in-house producer and lead cast members and rising stars Stephanie Pham and Angela Jordan. To say the least and so long as the next forty-eight hours go smoothly and the universe smiles on me, the proverbial icing on the cake here is I may just be able to attend this, my very first ceremonial screening event as a reporter here on my platform.

Provided I can make it, however, I can’t promise instant coverage, although I might do a brief live Facebook video for my fanpage to help folks tune in and maybe even say hello to the cast. We’ll see. At any rate, I predict an amply fun, milestone evening among friends…and not to mention, it’d be a fantastic way to spend my birthday!

The Dropouts have released the film’s official poster – created by Avery Byrd – per the crew’s most recent and successful Kickstarter campaign. Check it out below, and don’t forget to get your tickets here!

Produced by Art School Dropouts. 2018, 70 mins. With Joey Min, Stephanie Pham, Bobby Samuels. This kung fu action–packed nine-episode web series is filled with more kick ass fight scenes, comedic characters, and feel good vibes for all ages! In Season Two, Auntie (Joey Min) and Niece (Stephanie Pham) return alongside crime fighting DEA head, Momma (Legendary Hong Kong Action Star – Bobby Samuels) While mob boss Lester (Leroy Nguyen of Rising Tigers Films) gathers his minions, Assassin Angelo (Angela Jordan) and his mole Jefferson (Robert Jefferson of R4Films), to take care of business, Momma, Auntie, and Niece join forces to take down the disco dancing mob boss and his crew to stop the rampant use of a deadly drug, and serve justice all in a “Jackie Chan” like comedic action!
