ONE PUNCH MAN Is Streaming On Viz Media
One Punch Man is looking to be the next big anime of the season and rightfully so! What started as a silly and poorly drawn webcomic back in 2009 that got 10 million views, Young Jump Next picked up the series, and had Yusuke Murata of Eyeshield 21 fame to redraw the series with the original mangaka ONE to continue the story.
The story of One Punch Man is a relatively simple but goes far deeper that questions even the typical Japanese hero tropes of old. The story revolves around Saitama, a seemingly boring looking hero who happens to be the strongest hero of all reality. Yes, reality. He is so strong that he can finish every battle with a single punch; but this also causes his frustration. No longer does he feel the thrill of a fight if every fight is nothing to him. So, this poses the question: what happens to a hero when there is no villain to stand against him? And if there is no villain, what makes a hero?
The manga is pretty far in and it gets much more comedic, enjoyable, and deep from here on out but the series itself has finally been animated and is streaming on Viz Media. Currently, there are only 2 episodes out but check it out, the art and animation is definitely top notch and there is no doubt that this is going to be the biggest anime in the Winter season.
Watch the trailer and head over to the official Viz Media website to stream it for your viewing pleasure!
