SDCC 2016: Meet Your New Carol Danvers For CAPTAIN MARVEL In 2019
Blink and you might forget that actress Brie Larson stars in Jordan Vogt-Roberts’s latest, Kong: Skull Island. Otherwise, if you’re all about the Marvel hype this weekend, it doesn’t matter if you blink or not with word from this weekend’s Hall H panel (or Larson’s Twitter account depending on where you’re looking) of her latest attachment to star in the new film, Captain Marvel.

The character itself bares numerous versions but will focus solely on the Carol Danvers iterarion based on her 1968 launch from creators Roy Thomas and Gene Colan. Guardians Of The Galaxy scribe Nicole Perlman & and Disney•Pixar’s Inside Out writer Meg LeFauve were announced to pen the script as of last year while a director remains pending and further casting rumors await to solidify.
The film, pushed back previously from its November 8 date next year, opens on March 8, 2019.
