‘Red Cup’ Hails The Start Of Production On The New STAR WARS Spin-Off With Han Solo
May 25, 2018 is when Star Wars fans will brace themselves for another inspired spin-off of the hit sci-fi fantasy space opera, now with the untitled Han Solo origin film following the big screen success of Gareth Edwards’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. As such, production has officially commenced by way of co-director Chris Miller’s Twitter announcement a la clapperboard illustrating the film’s working title, Red Cup.
Miller is joined by co-helmer Phil Lord with actor Alden Ehrenrich succeeding the title role in a tale that will illustrate Solo’s career ascension as the smuggler, captain of the Millenium Falcon who would soon play a pivotal role in the rebel alliance against the Empire. Also starring are Donald Glover who will take the mantle as Lando Calrissian previosly played by Billy Dee Williams, actress Emilia Clarke in an undisclosed role and Woody Harrelson who will star as Solo’s mentor.
