Wilmington residents and visitors alike are invited to 3 Chambers Fest for another annual blend of festive hip-hop, anime and martial arts cinema delights later this year. The four-day event kicks off on December 4 and early bird passes are now on sale via the official 3 Chambers website with more info to come.
3 Chambers Fest fuses hip-hop, martial arts, and anime culture through a variety of live music performances, immersive art, gaming, and innovative movie experiences. It is the brainchild of festival President, Christopher Everett, with a mission in great part to serve as an annual destination for hip-hop music, martial arts, and anime fans worldwide, with a continued emphasis on community, diversity, and inclusivity.
Par for the course for 3 Chambers Fest is Can I Kick It?, the interwoven series of screening events in association with local NC hip-hop duo Shaolin Jazz, producing live hip-hop scores for recent screening events such as Brandon Lee’s 1994 cult hit The Crow, Bruce Lee classic Enter The Dragon, and Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1. Other 3 Chambers events include Talib Kweli Live in Concert at Waterline Brewing Company, and the Southeastern premieres of hit Bruceploitation documentary Enter The Clones Of Bruce and a screening of A Wu-Tang Experience: Live At Red Rocks Ampitheatre.
“Before 3 Chambers drops the festival lineup, we wanted to offer our fans a chance to secure their passes early and to take advantage of the discounted price,” said 3 Chambers Festival’s President Christopher Everett.
Early Bird Festival Passes are limited and will end on October 22 with festival line-up details announcing the following day, along with the sale of regular festival passes the same day.
3 Chambers will have a special “Wu-Tang Wednesday” event at Waterline Brewing Company as they will announce the official festival lineup. In addition, DJ Rizzy Beats will be spinning classic Wu-Tang Clan records with Shaolin Jazz on hand to score a Can I Kick It? presentation of Wu-Tang Clan favorite, the late Jimmy Wang Yu’s 1976 kung fu classic, Master Of The Flying Guillotine.
