400 BULLETS: ‘Black Site’ Director Shoots Jean-Paul Ly Thriller Next Month

Actor Jean-Paul Ly is revving up to star in 400 Bullets for Black Site director Tom Paton. The film adds to the already adds to Ly’s growing slate since breaking out in 2017 with Jailbreak and the rousing action comedy, Nightshooters, and having kept the habit up with behind-the-scenes fight choreography for The Prey and introducing proof-of-concept actioners like The Division with Law Plancel, and Haz Dullul’s sci-fi, Rift.

Paton just wrapped up black ops action horror, Stairs, which screened back in August for this year’s events at FrightFest. He’ll be on 400 Bullets rolling cameras next month upon which we should have some more details about the film and its production by then. Ly is also poised for other projects as well, including 14 Fists which also added John Hannah and Bai Ling, Kenneth Branagh’s Artemis Fowl in May 2020, and Ross Boyask’s I Am Vengeance: Retaliation, in addition to a solo directing debut with ninja action comedy, The Shinobis, which is still in development.
