A Hero Returns In The New Trailer For GHAYAL: ONCE AGAIN

Filmmaker Dharmendra’s 1990  action thriller, Ghayal, became an award-winning feat with actor Sunny Deol playing an ex-con on a mission to avenge his brother’s death while clearing his name. Judging by the classic trailer, you could easily suggest a film like this made Deol the household name equivalent of guys like Stallone and Schwarzenegger (those more familiar here may feel free to educate me on this otherwise).

Now and more than two decades later, both director and star have finally reconvened for a sequel with Dharmendra handling producing duties, and Deol reprising his role, as well as directing. For this, Reliance is out and about with the latest trailer for Ghayal: Once Again, and clearly Deol’s remergence here is just about right for today’s era of nostalgia for those familiar with the film character.
SYNOPSIS:

Ajay Mehra (from previous Ghayal-1990), after finishing off his life sentence, starts a newspaper called Satyakam. Still dealing with the haunting trauma of losing his loved ones, Ajay manages to make a credible name for himself in investigative journalism.

Working with a strange team of RTI activists, ex-criminals and ilk; and even stranger ways of unearthing & presenting truth, Ajay Mehra has earned quite a fan following among the youths, who finds his fearless & unforgiving approach in dealing with all kinds of sociopaths very inspiring.

Among his die hard fans are these four teenagers who happened to have received bravery medals from him once. These four friends once out on photography expeditions, accidentally record a murder on a camera. The footage turns out to be explosive as it clearly shows two of the city’s most powerful peoples involved in the murder.

Well what happens after this is a series of twist and turns where the four kids get entangled and have to fight it out with the most powerful man of the city, will Ajay Mehra be able to save them? Will the kids be successful in their mission to stand by the truth? Only time will tell!

Post-production reportedly languished for a bit in recent months leading to a brief delay in release, but the film is now poised to hit screens for Hindi moviegoers on February 5, and no less with some exciting action to present to fans, featuring sequences by Hollywood stunt coordinator Dan Bradley for his Indian debut.
