The film stars Channing Tatum as secret service reject who finds himself challenged with protecting the leader of the free world while taking on an unknown force that threatens his daughter, our government, and the fate of our nation as we know it. Also starring is actor Jamie Foxx who plays the President who throws his own share of fists, kickstomps, bullets and rockets in this latest explosive action feature from director Roland Emmerich.
The film also stars Maggie Gyllenhaal, Garcelle Beauvais, Joey King, Richard Jenkins and James Woods and based on a story and screenplay by Sheldon Turner and James Vanderbilt. White House Down is set for release on June 28, 2013.

SYNOPSIS:

Starring Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, Richard Jenkins and James Woods, the Columbia Pictures release follows Capitol Policeman John Cale (Tatum), who has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.
