Fast And Furious 7 director James Wan tweeted a cryptic photo of actor Jason Statham on the set of the fourthcoming emsemble action thriller. The photo is one of a slow and steady stream of photos being shared by Wan, actor Vin Diesel, and the cast and crew through Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other sites.
The photo itself is also a major tease which lends itself to a much bigger, unknown role Statham may be playing as the vengeful brother character of the late Fast And Furious 6 villain, Owen Shaw, played by Luke Evans.
I could be wrong, but considering that Fast 7 will be the start of a new trilogy with more characters added to the film’s three part eneaology, I suspect we will see a lot more of Statham in the second or third act when he may finall step out of the shadows for the epic battle that awaits. These just my opinions though, but I’m still excited to see how big this new chapter plays out.
With any luck, we may get a tasty Super Bowl spot for the film. Maybe. So stay tuned.
Fast And Furious 7 opens on July 11, 2014 from Universal Pictures, starring Diesel and Statham along with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Christopher Bridges, Lucas Black, Kurt Russell, Tony Jaa, Djimon Hounsou, Ronda Rousey and John Brotherton.
