A VIGILANTE Lands 2019 Release From Saban, DIRECTV

A Vigilante

Sarah Daggar-Nickson’s A Vigilante put itself on the map this year with its premiere at SXSW. The PR push has been nil since then but that’s all changing this weekend with Saban and DIRECTV going public out of Toronto for its transitional release between 2018 and 2019.

A once abused woman, Sadie (Olivia Wilde), ingeniously and ruthlessly helps victims get rid of their domestic abusers while hunting down the husband she must kill to truly be free.

DIRECTV will have a one-month exclusive run of the film going into early 2019 for the film’s select theatrical release from Saban Films.

Wilde (Meadowland, Her, and the upcoming Life Itself), who produces, leads a cast that includes lists Morgan Spector, Kyle Catlett, C.J. Wilson, Tonye Patano, Chuck Cooper, Betsy Aidem and Judy Marte. Lars Knudsen also produced the film along with Uncorked Productions’ Andrew D Corkin, Emmett Furla’s Randall Emmett and George Furla, Ambyr Childers and Allison Rose Carter.

Saban Films CEO Bill Bromiley said: “Olivia plays a badass vigilante which is refreshing and relevant while also shining a much-deserved light on domestic abuse. This role shows a side of Olivia that we haven’t seen before and audiences will love!”

Pulse Films’ Thomas Benski and Bryan Reisberg, Ted Farnsworth and Mitch Lowe, The Fyzz Facility’s Wayne Marc Godfrey, Robert Jones, Arnaud Lanic, and Babak Eftekhari, Highland Film Group’s Arianne Fraser, Delphine Perrier, and Henry Winterstein, Ted Fox, and Mark Stewart executive produced.

Bill Bromiley and Jonathan Saba negotiated the deal for Saban Films, with Endeavor Content on behalf of the filmmakers. Highland Film Group is representing international rights.
