2025 French actioner Ad Vitam is moving forward with a sequel at Netflix with actor Guillaume Canet reprising his lead role. Tentatively titled Ad Vitam Eternam, Canet will also be penning the script with co-scribe Maxime Chattam (The Signal – 149 KHZ), in collaboration with David Corona who co-wrote the first film for director Rodolphe Lauga.
Ludovic Colbeau-Justin, who directed several episodes of Netflix series “Nero The Assassin,” is directing the sequel which sees Franck (Canet) surviving an assassination attempt upon his release from prison. He hides away with his family in the mountains until French intelligence tracks him down and offer him a deal: a covert mission in exchange for the truth about who tried to kill him.
Actors Stéphane Caillard (Canal+ series “War Of The Worlds”), Nassim Lyes (Under Paris), and Zita Hanrot (Lee) are reprising their roles from the first film. New additions include Nicolas Duvauchelle (Last Bullet), Sophie Marceau (A Woman) and Mathieu Amalric (Quantum Of Solace).
Canet and Jean Cottin are producing for their Cabanes label. Filming will take place throughout France, with locations also inclduing Ile-de-France, Normandy, Savoie, and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
