Adult Swim has released a new teaser trailer ahead of the release of the latest in the Blade Runner franchise. Set in 2032, the show follows new protagonist, a Replicant named Elle, as well as a cast of new and returning characters.
Blade Runner: Black Lotus is a collaborative project between Adult Swim and Crunchyroll, and will be available exclusively on those platforms. The show, set for thirteen 30 minute episodes, is produced by Sola Digital Arts, known for their work recently on the Ultraman anime. With a production team bosting talent such as Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo), Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed), these titans of the cyber and future-punk genres are sure to deliver an amazing new entry in the series.
