Next Entertainment World (NEW) is slating a June 15 release for The Witch: Part Two – The Other One, the newest sequel from director Park Hoon-jung following 2018’s The Witch: Part 1 – The Subversion. We now know this thanks to new poster art dictating otherwise, with Park directing a cast led by newcomer and actress Cynthia (a.k.a. Shin Sia) starring.
Somewhere, a girl wakes up in a huge secret laboratory. The girl accidentally meets Kyung-hee who is trying to protect their house from the gang who harasses her. When the gang bumps into the girl, they are overpowered by an unexpected power of her. In the meantime, the secret laboratory starts to find the missing girl. Who is this mysterious girl and why is she being chased?
Also starring are Park Eun-bin, Seo Eun-soo, Jin Goo, Sung Yu-been, Jo Min-soo and Lee Jong-suk, with actress Kim Da-mi reprising her role from the first film, which can’t be iterated enough was an absolute blast.
The film’s release comes courtesy of NEW who reached a deal with WB Korea back in 2020 to co-produced and finance the pic with NEW releasing the film locally.
With a month and a half left before said date, we should be definitely getting some trailer materials very soon.
