Don’t Miss A First Look Still From Upcoming Summer Sequel, THE WITCH: PART 2 – THE OTHER ONE

So, I’ve been living under a rock that didn’t allow me to receive any updates about The Witch: Part 2 – The Other One which apparently has a first look making the rounds as of a few months ago, and so I’m compelled to jump on it here courtesy of HanCinema as I know a lot of us who keep up with Korean films have been looking forward to this since the pic was announced in late 2020.
As for the photo above, my guess is as good as anyone’s knows what’s happening here, athough I reckon that something particularly sinister is abound following the first film. Much of what we have though can pretty much be filled in as a new synopsis spotlights the coming tale of another girl on the run from a similar underground lab like in the inaugural 2018 film, where children are tested and tormented as black site experiments with human telepathy.
The new film, according to the synopsis, follows our dark heroine as she becomes a guest at a new home after warding off would-be intruders. Actress and newcomer Cynthia (or Shin Si-ah as regionally known) is headlining the film opposite returning actress Kim Da-mi who starred in the previous thriller, with actress Jo Min-soo reprising one of two dual roles from the first film as well.
The film also stars Jin Goo (One-Line, Northern Limit Line), Park Eun-bin (KST series “The King’s Affection”), and Lee Jong-suk (V.I.P.). The film is produced and co-financed by Warner Bros. Korea and Next Entertainment World (NEW), with the latter set to release locally starting in June.
