Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022 kicked off on Thursday with several developments, including the 2023 premieres of Season 3 for The Mandalorian, and Season One of Ashoka with Rosario Dawson. The festivities also included a first look at Diego Luna and co. in the first teaser footage now online for upcoming series, Andor, with Luna reprising the role in title form following his debut in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Andor, created by Tony Gilroy, stars Diego Luna, reprising the role of rebel spy Cassian Andor from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in a tale set five years prior to the events of the film. Joining Luna is Genevieve O’Reilly, who will return as Mon Mothma (Rogue One, Tin Can), as well as Stellan Skarsgard (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Good Will Hunting), Denise Gough (Collett, Angels in America), and Kyle Soller (Anna Karenina, The Titan).
Andor premieres August 31, 2022, exclusively on Disney+.
