Stunt professional Malay Kim hasn’t directed a shortfilm in a hot minute but he’s been keeping his muscles warm in the field for just as long. Nowadays though, you’ll find him tinkering away with a few concepts he’s been piddling at, including his most recent effort teaming him with screen talents Tarell Kota Bullock and David Sakurai, and screenfighting caliber teeming with potential from stunt and fight sequencers Armand Rabanal and Michael Lehr for the new crowdfunded martial arts drama, Ashes: A Kung Fu Story, which now bares its best to date with an exciting new teaser.
Leo, a down and out worker at a convenience store, trains Kung Fu with his new found master. But there’s a dark past that his master has kept secret. Now Leo must stand up to face a new adversary.
