I enjoyed the mindless spectacle and thrills of the first Baaghi and still need to see the second film. At any rate however, I’m pretty sure the story doesn’t matter at this point, because as much as this trailer sells itself, I’m basically died while I wrote this piece.
Ronnie and Vikram are brothers who share an unbreakable bond. Since childhood, Ronnie always comes to the rescue whenever Vikram falls in any trouble. Their journey begins when a certain turn in events, leads Vikram to travel abroad to complete some work. On this trip, Vikram gets kidnapped by people who are not to be messed with but as Ronnie witnesses his brother getting beaten and kidnapped, he knows that he will do whatever it takes to destroy anyone and anything that stands in the way of Vikram’s safety. Ronnie goes on a rampage of destruction to see his brother safe again, even if it means that he independently has to take on an entire country.
Indeed, it’s the return of Bollywood star Tiger Shroff in the role of Ronnie as he continues to defy gravity, logic and reason, in every sense of each word here. This is basically reaching redonkulous levels of cartoonish, anime WTF-kery, with an almost boorish, shameless take on the genre from director Ahmed Khan. It’s a lot of ham to take in.
Yes, it is Bollywood and I’ve seen some pretty silly shit, but this is nuckin futs. Maybe I’m not as desensitized to it as I don’t watch a lot of Bollywood action, but…yeah. Lots. Of. Ham.
