BARRY: Catch The Teaser For The Fourth And Final Season Of The Dark Hitman Comedy Series On HBO

Merrick Morton/HBO

The hit HBO series Barry is set to return for its fourth and final season on April 16, and we now have an official poster and teaser to signal the hype. The show will see Bill Hader back in the saddle once more along with a cast that joins Hader with Henry Winkler, Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, and Anthony Carrigan. Hader co-created the series and serves as exec producer alongside Alec Berg.

I got to catch up on the series sometime last year and it’s one the most fun times I’ve had on the couch, with plenty of whipsmart dialogue and characters that resonate on screen really well, along with some exciting character moments and action with Hader in a version nary seen of him on screen.

In sum, Hader stars in the title role of a depressed post-military serviceman working as a hitman who stumbles upon a means of haphazardly turning his life around by becoming an actor. Despite his efforts toward a career, a happy relationship and a relatively new start in life, he ultimately finds himself mitigating a friendship with an upbeat, naive Chechen mob enforcer whilst still entrenched in an inescapable world of killing for money, a life that soon lands him single once more, and at odds with his former handler, as well as his acting coach after he discovers the gruesome truth behind one of Barry’s crimes.

That eventually brings us to the teaser now available below, which should give you a plentiful idea about where things stand. If you haven’t seen the series yet, I wholly welcome you to give it a shot in the next six weeks as ample preparation for the madness that awaits. I hate that this is the last season, but I’m eager to see how the creators are able to construct a worthy ending to such a celebrated series.
