This month we have a trailer for director Kishimoto Tsukasa‘s latest Okinawan martial arts action comedy, Ryukyu Battle Royale.
Other than the film being slated for a possible October release, there is not much I can add to my press here for this particular film. However, there is a small cast list I can share, which includes stars Seung Wei, Shingo Koyasu and Koike Yui, along with actor and martial artist, Akihito Yagi, who is best known for his fierce performance in director Shunichi Nagasaki’s 2007 brutal karate action drama, Kuro-Obi.
The choreography here looks great-it’s fast and energetic, and has a unique, comedic appeal, a little similar to that of Jay Chou’s latest comedy The RooFTop, only without the musical flair.
