Filmmaker Michael Mann has a true knack for extrapolating raw, visual grit to his style of storytelling. Espionage, crime, murder, thrilling drama all good elements that help set up a great Mann-directed thriller, although in the case of his latest, Blackhat, we get a dash of international terror and active cybercrime thrown in the mix. And who is left to the task of dealing with such a new global technological threat? Well that would be none other than lead actor Chris Hemsworth, who knows his way around an action role, so this shouldn’t be too hard, what with bullets flying and all, life of death situations, etc. All in a days’ work, really.
SYNOPSIS:
Set within the world of global cybercrime, Legendary’s Blackhat follows a furloughed convict and his American and Chinese partners as they hunt a high-level cybercrime network from Chicago to Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Jakarta.
