Mangaka Hiroaki Samura’s Blade Of The Immortal is back in the mix with a new anime on the way streaming the first two episodes October 10 on Amazon Prime Video.
Hiroshi Hamasaki (Steins;Gate, Shigurui: Death Frenzy, Orange) took the mantle this year for the show which will retell the epic, blood-soaked action saga about a samurai condemned to slaying aq thousand evil men in order to regain his mortality.
I don’t know much else about the show from there except Takashi Miike’s Magnet-acquired 2017 adaptation from Warner Bros. Japan was a solid thriller that hit many of the right notes with fans I spoke to. I’m certain Hamasaki’s work here will be a welcome treat come next month. (ANIME NEWS NETWORK)
