BLOOD-CLUB DOLLS 1: Check Out The International Trailer For Oku Shutaro’s Live-Action Adaptation Of The Famed ‘Blood’ Saga

Stemming from Kitakubo Hiroyuki’s 2000 OVA and its posterity through CLAMP and Production I.G.’s furtherance of anime shows and films, it’s director Shutaro Oku who’s been leading the charge of late with a spate of live-action films nodding to the Blood franchise.

Enter Blood-Club Dolls 1 following Asura Girl – the live-action 2017 prequel release of Shiotani Naoyoshi’s animated feature, Blood-C: The Last Dark (2012). Oku’s latest has been screen already in Japan and how has an international trailer through its global sales banner at NEGA which you can check out above, along with a few others on its very YouTube channel.

Soen, the mafia-boss of the Capitol City, was running the underground fight club backed by the prime-minister Muto. The fighters of the club are all thugs and mobs. One day a new fighter Aiba came along. He was the convicted criminal murdered 32 people. Aiba reminded Soen some old memories…

Then Soen was introduced to a mysterious lady Arisugawa by prime minister Muto. Soen is attracted by Arisugawa, which leads to another tragedy

Who would survive in this parallel world created by Fumito?

The gist here is that the applied story has some modifications, though the film from what I’ve seen has been received pretty well by its audience thusfar – I haven’t seen any reviews discerning how good it is, but it’s still worth discussing in my view, and I’m open to opinions of those who’ve seen it and can opine a bit and translate the consensus for us Westerners, so by all means, comment below or maybe hit us up on Twitter or Facebook or something.
