BRAVE: GUNJYO SENKI: School Is A Feudal Warzone In The First Official Trailer

Katsuyuki Motohiro’s latest, Brave: Gunjyo Senki, is back in the limelight this week with an official trailer after revealing an explosive first look back in October. A March 12 release from Toho is in order for the new film based on Maki Kasahara’s popular manga centered on a high school teen who, along with his fellow classmates, gets accidently transported back to Sengoku Period.

Nishino Aoi (Arata Mackenyu), who belongs to the archery team in an elite sports school, keeps his head down and devotes himself to practice. Then, a bolt of lightning strikes the schoolyard and everything changes. Amidst the chaos, a battle begins to rescue his friends, who have been abducted by samurai bandits.

Rounding out the cast are Hirona Yamazaki (Killing For The Prosecution) and Kenichi Matsuyama (Miyamoto), and in heartfelt departure, late actor Haruma Miura (The Confidence Man JP 1 & 2, upcoming Tengaramon) in one of his final on screen performances.
