BULLOCK THE BRUISER Set To Clobber Bad Guys For One Night In NYC This April!

Initially planned as a webseries of sorts, debut helmer Marcelo Mayen chose to go the route of a shortfilm with his new dark vigilante short, Bullock The Bruiser, introducing lead actor Will Parker in the title role. It’s a project I myself look forward to Hit Listing while Mayen continues to hit the film festival circuit with his premiere project, and that journey continues later this month when it lands at Cinema Village for a ticketed screening among other selections currently hosted by the Manhattan Film Festival.

SYNOPSIS:

After hospitalizing a controversial public figure, New York City dubbed him “The Bruiser”; however, if Wilson Bullock wants to win back his ex-girlfriend, he’s gonna have to prove he’s done indulging his petty superhero identity.

Hopefully my review will service your curiousities as you’ll now see it quoted in the latest trailer which you can now view below. As for the venue of choice, I last went to Cinema Village to watch the Mo’ Bros thriller, Headshot and it’s a pretty intimate setting with good sound and setup; The facility itself is not huge and the popcorn and drinks are feasible, and the employees are good and professional. Plus…well, if you’re a member of the New York City indie film community looking to support your own, this would be as great a time as any to do so.

Bullock The Bruiser slated to crack skulls on April 21, and joins Parker with actresses Alice Dessuant, Esther Van Zyl and Danielle DeWulf and actor Max Turner. Tickets are on sale at the official website for the Manhattan Film Festival where you can click and buy yours today. And bring friends!
