Cai O'Leary Fights Dirty In The New Shortfilm Trailer For MAN IS BEAST

Welsh actor and martial artist Cai O’Leary is reaching a new milestone in his young career as an up-and-coming filmmaker with signs of life for his latest pending shortfilm, Man Is Beast. Penned as his Mandarin-language directorial and writing debut, O’Leary‘s endeavors began earlier on with a crowdfunding campaign that came short of its goal upon ending back in May, but as time proved since then, O’Leary was bent on finishing this newest venture, now fully equipped with a teaser which, for the most part, guarantees a little something for the MMA crowd in its dramatic delivery, with actor Stephen Hoo getting in on the ground-and-pound action as well.

SYNOPSIS:

Man is beast is a short Chinese language (Mandarin) film set in London.

It follows the story of two underground fighters Sai Hu and Hei Xiong, as they prepare for their upcoming fight.

We are taken in mockumentary style flashbacks behind the scenes into the fighters homes where they show us how they live and train.  We are given an insight as to what drives them to compete in such a dangerous sport, which often results in death.  We are thrown back and forth between the interviews and the fight which takes place two days later and we witness the calmness of the fighters compared to the savagery they must endure.

But we learn that all is not what it seems as the story unfolds and the fighters take a beating. When the fight reaches it’s climax, some terrible truths are unearthed.
