Christian Bale Turns Outlaw In The New Trailer For OUT OF THE FURNACE

Actor Christian Bale doesn’t need a batsuit for his latest role in the upcoming gritty drama, Out Of The Furnace, playing the role of a rust belt blue collar worker whose investigation of his younger brother’s mysterious disappearence takes him deep in the inner circles of the criminal underworld, forcing him to risk his own freedom to dispense his own justice. Writer Brad Inglesby is being tapped to pen the script for Sony’s pending American remake of Welsh director Gareth Huw Evans’ Indonesian breakout martial arts action thriller, The Raid, which is a huge step between both genres and expectations. So it is here that get to see how well he works in Scott Cooper‘s latest stint as director and co-writer of the film.

Zoe Saldana, Woody Harrelson, Casey Afleck, Willem Dafoe, Forest Whitaker and Sam Shepherd round out the cast of movie, which is slated for release on December 6, 2013.

SYNOPSIS:

Russell and his younger brother Rodney live in the economically-depressed Rust Belt, and have always dreamed of escaping and finding better lives. But when a cruel twist of fate lands Russell in prison, his brother is lured into one of the most violent and ruthless crime rings in the Northeast – a mistake that will almost cost him everything. Once released, Russell must choose between his own freedom, or risk it all to seek justice for his brother.
