YouTube Premium is finally streaming Cobra Kai for free with ad support for a limited time. I’ve actually finished season one by now as it was released in its entirety last month while the network while season 2 is now streaming weekly episodes, also with ad support.
That’s at least one way fans can currently catch the series while Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is officially proffering the series’ release on Collector’s Edition DVD, packed with special features and dual-sided headband. The show is also coming to Digital with both dated for a November 12 rollout.
See the original films as recommended. The nostalgic value in Cobra Kai is immense as it takes the entire narrative of the first 1984 film installment, completely flipping the script with actors William Zabka and Ralph Macchio reprising their roles. It’s an absolute treat to watch for as long as these characters have been around and continue to grow for a franchise that has aged pretty darn well.
In “COBRA KAI,” the highly-anticipated return of two iconic characters, the arch-rivals from the legendary THE KARATE KID film series reunite over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. Now living in the affluent hills of Encino, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) leads an enviable life. Meanwhile, his high school adversary, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), has taken a rocky turn, but seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo. Their lives inevitably become intertwined and the rivalry is reignited, setting forth the next generation of “karate kids.”
